The best kayaking week in the Alps starts on flat water. You spend the first two mornings on the mirror surface of Lake Orta working through forward stroke, edging, low brace and roll — everything you need before the river gets pushy. By mid-week you are on the Sesia: beginners paddle Class II with a coach on the water, advanced paddlers run Class III–IV alongside the safety team.
- ◆Lake Orta technique days — stroke work, edging drills and roll practice from the boat house at Pella
- ◆Sesia Basso — a wide Class II run, ideal for first river descents
- ◆Sesia Alto — Class III+ continuous whitewater under the Monte Rosa face
- ◆The Vocca wave — a resident surf wave for the freestyle-inclined
- ◆Coaching from former national-team paddlers
- ◆Playboats, creek boats and touring boats plus full kit supplied
- ◆Video coaching sessions two evenings at the villa
Your week, day by day.

Forward stroke, edging and low brace on sheltered flatwater. Evening video review at the villa.
Roll clinic and rescue drills, then a long touring paddle around the island of San Giulio.
First river day on a wide Class II section — big eddies, playful waves, no consequence.
Late start, optional session on the resident surf wave at Vocca, afternoon at the pool and sauna.
Class III+ continuous whitewater for the advanced group; a second Class II descent for the rest. Farewell dinner.
Slow breakfast, kit wash-down and transfers to Turin or Milan Malpensa.
